Painting aspens is always interesting. Depending on the time of day, the light hitting the tree trunks can appear to be almost any color.

This was morning and it was slightly overcast so everything looked very green and typical for a summer morning walking through the aspens. I wanted to get the trees receding into the background so I chose to paint looking up a slight hill into the woods. My only problem was the mosquitoes which were numerous and very, very interested in me so it was fortunate that I chose a 12 x 9 for this, so I didn't have to be out there as long.
