Here's a painting I did at Lagerman Reservoir. We had a patch of snow-free weather at the beginning of February before the next snowfall hit us so it was fairly dry and brown. The patterns of the trees on the foothills were what I was mostly interested in this painting and the muted colors of winter.

Here's a painting I did on a warm-ish January day before we started getting all the snow we have now. This was at Pella Crossing.  The foliage around the pond is starting to get a lot bigger and it's not always easy to get a clear view of the other bank except in winter.
