Snow Day
Getting back from Petrified Forest and its hot weather to our local Colorado autumn weather and crisp mornings was a big change, but the weather had an even bigger change in store for us fairly soon afterwards. It progressed quickly from fall to winter-like conditions and gave us a couple snowfalls and then a massive cold spell with 4 days of bad weather and early snow. Snow doesn't usually show up until at least Halloween. I went out and did this painting the morning after the first fluffy 4 inch snowfall when things were still fairly warm and before the big freeze hit us. This is a little farm on the top of a hill near Sandstone Ranch Park.
