The Mesa trailhead is in southern Boulder and favorite place for many hikers and dog walkers. There's a stream running through the bottom part coming down from Eldorado Springs. I painted along there on a Thursday morning a couple weeks ago . It was fairly cold with a mean wind but the stream was somewhat sheltered. There were still patches of snow and ice along the river banks. The reflections and shadows were delightful.
