A New Series

Many of my larger studio paintings have included a big sky and often roads, waterways or paths leading onward or inward, which gave me the idea of having a show on the theme of the journey. I plan to have a show of these paintings this coming spring or summer if Covid slows down and gallery openings are back to being possible again. Here are a few of the paintings that are part of this group. I will be working on this group over this winter.

Cottonwoods, 24 x 36. Here the "path" is the course of the stream bed.

Rain in Lyons, 16 x 20, a scene along HW 36 during a summer rainstorm

Evening Highlight, 16 x 20, another summer rainstorm view.

Twilight on HW 52, 16 x 20, a winter roadside scene

After the Rain, 16 x 16, a desert sunset
