Art Journal

This was done the day after Christmas.  Once again we had sunny and not-too-cold weather and I went out in the afternoon looking for something inspiring to paint at Sandstone Ranch.  I have probably painted there before a hundred times so I wanted to do something different, if at all possible. I settled on the sun reflections breaking through the grass clumps along the stream edge. The sun went down fairly quickly so I had to paint fast.
